A couple days ago, I was inducted as a member of Phi Alpha Theta national history honors society. The ceremony was very brief and we all received a white rose (and cupcakes–but those are long gone). Since I’m a college student with limited space and money, I cut the stem short and stuck my rose in one of my coffee mugs. Today, my rose is wilting. But I still think it’s fun to have a little bit of floral life in my room, so I won’t throw it away just yet.
